Consistently ranked one of the Best Places to Live and Work, Cary is a thriving community in the heart of the Triangle. With over 143,000 residents it is the 2nd largest town in Wake County. We are a short drive to Research Triangle Park, and home to some big name companies like SAS, Deutsche Bank, RIM, John Deere, Kelloggs, Siemens and more.

You'll find that our community is very proud of being one of the Safest Cities in the U.S., and continues to strive for ways to be proactive in sustainability.

We were also named one of six NCAA Championship Cities in 2008. Cary will host various NCAA Championships in the sports of soccer, baseball, cross country, and tennis through 2012. The championships awarded will bring national exposure to Cary’s top notch sports venues including the Cary Tennis Park, WakeMed Soccer Park and the USA Baseball National Training Complex.

Education is an important facet of our community. The
Wake County Public School System ranks 18th Largest in the United States and among the top for performance. A talented workforce also resides in Cary with two thirds of Cary residents having a College Degree. Three major universities - N.C. State University in Raleigh, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University in Durham - are less than 25 miles away.

We are a dog-friendly, bicycle-friendly, active community with Greenways, a SK8 Park, 5 Star Hotel & Spa (The Umstead) and something for everyone!
